TeachMeet World Record attempt 2012

FRIDAY MARCH 2nd 5pm-8pm (doors open from 4pm)

We need your help to take a huge leap forward in TeachMeet participation in 2012! On March 2nd, teachers from all around Sydney are invited to a massive TeachMeet event at the Australian Technology Park in Eveleigh. This is your big chance to build your professional learning network, gather some fantastic and tried-and-tested ideas for your 2012 classroom practice and offer your ideas to the ever-growing network of educators who form TeachMeet Sydney.

There will be a few key speakers (though not going for more than 7 minutes each!) there will be many allocated spaces, both large and small, and a typical mixture of planned pechakuchas, critical conversations and anarchical improvisation, depending on what you want!

So please, sign up on the homepage and offer a presentation topic or two (take a look at the spreadsheet to see what others are presenting on – try to avoid overlap!). Remember to get a few workmates to sign up too!

Location Details

Trains & Buses:

It is highly recommended that you take public transport to get to the venue. Matt tried out the walk from Redfern station and it took him about a two minutes from the time he stepped off the train to the time he arrived at the venue.

Once in the plaza there is an entrance to Locomotive Workshop, walk around to the front of the building and enter through Bay 4 Atrium. We will be meeting in Shed “7″ (numbers on the outside of the South side of the building along Locomotive St).

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE A COST TO PARKING – final cost TBA.
